I, the poet.

Dormant poetry slept. The other world, unearthly realm, lay coiled in my cells. Only the arts could wake that poetry, provide space and call it into the open, so flow it could, into my brook. Under a stage light, in an empty theatre, purge I would to the page. Break open I would, upon a stage. - NB

There is no better a craft than acting to explore the human condition, the oscillatory nature of energy and the field of action and reaction. Ironically, humans are acting. The actor on the other hand, is the one who is trained to strip back all the untruths and renounce all she is not. The actor is commissioned to arrive at the Self, ready and humbled to tell another's story. And the poet, lives this way.

The craft taught me that what I could "see", many would never attempt to, and what I could feel, many never dared to. Acting taught me that my sensory body, my metaphysicality and my inherent understanding of it, was a gift. My sensibility was not some curse I'd spend the rest of my life attempting to rationalise but instead, learning to honour. And so the craft, crafted I - The Poet.
