I, the Prose Writer
Writing is like the art between thinking and dancing - more so for poetry, less so if you are ghostwriting someone's e-book on psychoneuroimmunology. That’s more like thinking and lexiconical-engineering. Yes, I know that’s 'not a thing' but that’s just it, writers are tasked with ‘meaning making’. It started with the word after all. I like to think most writers are frustrated semioticians who find themselves desperately deconstructing etymology, or trying to resuscitate words that have been completely obliterated by marketing.
Buzz words can make an editor nauseous and platitudes can turn the vexed poet into a mime artist, giving up on the word altogether. It's specifically ‘blood orange’ if it’s to elicit any air of Sicilian nostalgia. And it’s definitely not ‘authentic’ anymore when “authentic” spent most of 2015 slapped all over makeup adverts. Words are the fabric of human connection and when woven correctly, can create remarkable tapestries.

Through Londinium I've worked with both internal corporate comms copy, scripts and screenplays at all different stages. From ideation and concept creation, development including structure or character, along with simple doctoring. More.
